Hi, I’m Felicia McCallum, the Managing Director of Deacon Recruitment. With over 18 years of dedicated experience in the residential construction industry, I lead our boutique agency consisting of a dynamic team of four. Our intention is to maintain this intimate scale, as it enables us to provide unparalleled service and focus to both clients and candidates.
Prior to forming Deacon Recruitment, my experience spanned local and international recruitment agencies where I was a consistent top performer in my region. This allowed me to see what worked and what didn’t, bringing the best to Deacon Recruitment and to you.

With over eight years of experience as a Recruitment Resourcer at Deacon Recruitment, I am passionate about providing job seekers with an open, honest, and tailored service. I work closely with the Managing Director to recruit for various roles in the residential construction sector, from Estimators and Drafters to Site Managers and Sales.
My core competencies include candidate management, resourcing, negotiation, and partnership. I use ATS and CRM systems to source, screen, and match candidates with the right fit based on role, company, and culture.
I build and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates, ensuring trust, integrity, and satisfaction in every interaction. I am always eager to learn new skills and take on new challenges in the dynamic and rewarding recruitment industry.

Bringing over 8 years of specialised residential building experience (plus insights gained from building my own home), I have developed my career in positions spanning from customer service through to sales.
